Skin Care Tips

We all need to care for our skin, the same way we care for our bodies. When you exercise regularly, you lose weight and tone muscle. Eventually, you just need to maintain what you've built by doing the bare minimum to keep up the results that you have put into perfecting your physique. The same attention should go towards your skin care.

  • facial

Get a facial just once. This relaxing procedure will cause your skin to glow and radiate. It should be a process that's continued on a monthly basis to properly care for your skin. The results of a good facial are maximized by the home care system you use. I highly recommend the Image Skin Care. line. A facial or chemical peel used in conjunction with the Jan Marini line will almost guarantee you the skin you have always wanted and desired!

  • Don't touch

Avoid touching your face. You don't know what kind of bacteria is on your hands, which can lead to breakouts on your face. Try not to rest your chin on your hands or rest your phone on your ear and shoulder. Wash your phone regularly to remove the day-to-day bacteria that is hiding on it.

  • sunscreen

Wear sunscreen whether or not the sun is shining. Limit your sun exposure between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. when UV rays are the strongest. UVA rays damage your skin's underlying collagen and elastin, which results in wrinkling. UVB rays cause sunburns and pigmentation spots, which could possibly lead to cancer. Typical warning signs of cancer could be a sore that does not heal, a new growth, or a change in sensation or surface of a mole. Make sure you have yearly skin exams with a dermatologist. Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen that offers protection from UVA and UVB rays with at least a 15 SPF. Apply it frequently through the day over your exposed body parts, paying close attention to the ears, nose, neck, hands and face. And don't forget your sunglasses and hat!

  • H2O

Drink plenty of water to hydrate and flush your system. During cooler months, your skin may be more red, itchy and dry. This could be partially caused by hot water. The warmer the water temperature, the dryer your skin will become. Hot water removes the moisture from your skin, accentuating fine lines and wrinkles, which can make you appear older.

  • Rest

Get plenty of rest. Sleep is vital for your mind, body and soul to heal itself, and sleep allows you to wake up feeling refreshed. Without adequate sleep, you can feel sluggish and less alert — especially when operating a motor vehicle — and your memory and motor skills can also be impaired. Lack of sleep can affect how you function at work, at home, and with your spouse or loved ones. Relax with a nice, warm bath, a cup of warm golden milk or chamomile tea, and listen to soft and soothing music while laying in bed.

  • Exercise

Get plenty of exercise. Don't forget to remove your makeup prior to exercising to prevent unnecessary clogged pores and breakouts. Exercise gets the body moving and can help prevent many age-related and degenerative diseases down the road. Exercise will help you feel good about yourself and will allow you to maintain a healthy weight. It also raises endorphin levels, which help elevate your mood and can possibly allow you to sleep more restfully. Don't forget to make healthy food choices, as well. Go on, take Fido for a walk — and get that blood pumping!
